Printer/Copier is Not Printing on Paper Clearly

Issue/Question

• Printer is not printing on paper clearly
• Grey shadow on printed pages
• We are getting streaks on copies from our color copier
• The printer wants to print an alignment sheet
• After replacing the black ink cartridge, the printer is still not working
• Printer prints extra pages

Environment

• Printer
• Copier

Cause

• Fuser may be bad
• Print driver needs updated
• Paper pick up roller may be dirty
• Toner cartridge needs to be replaced

Resolution

1. Replace the toner and print a few pages
2. If the issue persists, please contact the Service Desk with the following information:
   • The name of the people affected 
   • Location of the issue (Building and room number)
   • Asset number found on the NI label
