The fee request process email will be sent out from the budget office

  • Fee Request Information
    • The fee request process is coordinated by the budget office. The budget office will usually send out an email to College and School Deans’ and Deans’ office support staff regarding the process. The email is typically sent out in the fall. This process usually begins in the fall and does not conclude until the spring. Requests for fee increases or adjustments will be reviewed and must be approved by the Board of Regents prior to implementation.
    • The email sent by the budget office will usually contain a justification form to be filled out for any new requests for discipline fees, any increases to current fees beyond the established inflationary adjustment amount for that fiscal year, or for adding any new subject codes to existing discipline fees.
    • Please reach out to Financial Affairs at financialaffairs@usd.edu in order to request a new fee or an adjustment to an existing fee outside of the usual process.
    • Separate from the fee request process, please see the User Charge article for information regarding requesting a new User Charge which is an approved charge for “elective” services that the University has been granted to authority to administer, provided the service does not have a direct or specific relationship to a course offering.
