Troubleshooting Scanning into EagleSoft Smart Docs

Issue/Question

I am unable to scan anything into patient charts

I am unable to scan anything in to smart docs

Hooked up the HP scanner that used to be on my desk, so I can scan double-sided. Can't figure out how to adjust the settings so it does in Eaglesoft. I have the default profile set to two-sided, and it works on a regular scan

Error: EagleSoft.exe caused EXCEPTION_ACCESSVIOLATION in module ntdll.dll at 0x773b2a13

Environment

  • Windows 7
  • EagleSoft
  • Dental Hygiene
  • SmartDocs
  • Adobe Reader

Cause

Scanner settings and Adobe Reader permissions

Resolution

Make sure you are using an EagleSoft compatible scanner

  1. Update Drivers
  2. Open SmartDocs
  3. Click File
  4. Click Acquire from TWAIN device
  5.  next to Source
  6. Click your scanner name
  7.  Enable Multi-Page
  8.  Auto Scan
  9.  Save Images as PDF Document
  10. Click
  11. Click All Programs
  12. Right Click Adobe Reader
  13. Click Compatibility
  14. Click Run this program as an administrator
  15. Click OK
  16. Restart the computer
