Receiving RSS feed errors in Outlook

I am receiving RSS Feed errors

I have to open up safe mode when starting Outook

Error: Task 'RSS Feeds' reported error (0x80004005) : 'The operation failed.'

Error: Task 'RSS Feeds' reported error (0x80004005) : 'Synchronization to RSS Feed:"http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=68928" has failed. Outlook cannot process the RSS content from http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=68928. The link may not point to a valid RSS source.'

Environment

  • Microsoft Outlook

Resolution

  1. Click  next to RSS Feeds
  2. Select first item
  3. Right click it
  4. Select Delete Folder
  5. Repeat steps until all are removed
